Borja Bonaque
Valencia, Spain
Born and trained on the East coast of Spain, Borja Bonaque professionally developed his illustration work in 2008 shortly after completing his studies in Fine Arts.
Although versatility defines his style, Mediterranean architecture and style play a major role in his body of work.
Whether it is commissioned work or a personal project, Borja’s modus operandi develops entirely digitally. The last step in his creative process is his choice of color and light and shadow, which is pivotal: the daring nuances Borja chooses create a futuristic urban landscape out of something ordinary, for instance. He transports us somewhere we had no idea we were longing to go.
He has had the opportunity to develop editorial work for the Financial Times, Washington Post,
or The Hollywood reporter, and has worked with Deutsche Bank, Lufthansa, Kia motors or The Volkswagen Foundation among others.
