Christian lives by the words “less is more” and it is no wonder that his creations have found their way to top editorial institutions both in France and in the US. About ten years ago, as he was inventing and illustrating stories for his little boy, Christian sidestepped into the world of children’s books. Although he had to adapt to its rigorous codes and challenging restrictions, Christian managed to stay true to the idea that he would draw for children as he would for grownups.
